Dominican Passport Visa free Countries

Through the Dominican Citizenship by Investment Program, expats gain access to more than 140 visa-free travel destinations worldwide.

For instance, in 2018, the Dominican Prime Minister publicized efforts to negotiate visa-free travel with countries such as the Republic of South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and China. Similarly, since early 2019, Dominican passport holders can enter Russia as tourists for up to 90 days without a visa.

With ongoing negotiations, the visa-free countries list for Dominican citizens has been evolving, with exciting developments such as the recent addition of Ukraine.

It’s worth noting that the specific visa regulations of each country may limit the duration of stay or the allowable purposes of travel. Hence, it’s essential for Dominican passport holders to confirm whether a visa is required for an extended stay or for travel purposes not included in the Visa Waiver Policy of the destination country.

Visa-Free Or Visa On Arrival

Certain countries allow Dominican nationals to apply for a visa on arrival. This means that travelers can go to the destination country without an eVisa but must undergo a visa application process on arrival at the airport.

After arrival, the traveler will have to provide personal and passport information, pay the visa charge, and finish the visa application procedure, which typically includes a face-to-face interview with an immigration officer.

In addition to visa free and visa on arrival countries, Dominican passport holders can also apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before traveling to certain countries, such as South Korea and Sri Lanka. This digital travel document is designed for travelers who are visa-exempt for a specific country, and it can be obtained online before travel.

Moreover, the streamlined application process of eTA systems guarantees an efficient and convenient means of visa-free travel.  However, certain countries necessitate Dominican nationals to apply for an electronic visa (eVisa) before traveling.

The application process typically involves:

  • Providing personal and passport information.
  • Uploading necessary documents such as a passport photo.
  • Paying the visa fee.

After that, the e-Visa is sent in an electronic format, typically via email. Before traveling, it’s essential to verify the specific visa requirements of the destination country.

Here is a complete list of the Dominican visa free countries. We have also included the visa on arrival and eTA countries in this list.
